The Quest

A kinetic light and robotics sculpture commissioned by Moët Hennessy, The Quest brought together crystal artisans, robotics engineers, optics specialists and parametric designers in a single ambitious collaboration. I documented the making of the work over several months as both photographer and filmmaker, following the process across Italy, France and Scotland, from the shaping of individual glass shards to the assembly and programming of the robotic arm that animates the piece. The photographs and behind-the-scenes footage trace the journey from raw material to finished artwork, capturing the craft, the people and the spaces behind the light.
