The Ephesus Experience

The Ephesus Experience Museum is a permanent immersive experience nestled within the UNESCO-heritage site of Ephesus, Turkey. Commissioned by DEM Museums and Turkey's Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the work was created by Marshmallow Laser Feast and Atelier Brückner. Across three rooms, visitors journey through 1,500 years of the city's history, from its mythological origins and Roman glory to its Christian decline, through projection, spatial audio, sculpture and atmospheric effects including scent and fog.

I was commissioned to photograph and film all three environments, documenting the spatial and sensory qualities of each room.
